Pear Deck is accessed as an Add-On to Google Slides, so you and your students don't have to learn how to use an entirely new platform. Students do not need to create an account to use the application, they can log in using their Google account. You need an account to create a Pear Deck, but it will be created using your Google account. It is not a free application, but comes with a 90-day free trial, so you have time to test it out and decide if it's a good fit for you and your students.
Pear Deck comes with a library of templates for transitions, informal check-ins, and even subject specific question types.
