Welcome to the 7th Annual Technology and Policy Summit at the beautiful Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa, California. We are thrilled to host you for this inspiring gathering of industry leaders, policymakers, educators, and innovators dedicated to shaping the future of technology and policy.
This year's summit, hosted by the Foundation for California's Technology and Innovation Economy, promises to be an engaging two days of thought-provoking presentations and dynamic discussions on some of the most pressing topics of our time, including Artificial Intelligence, Climate and Sustainability, Autonomous Vehicles, and other critical areas of technological advancement. We are proud to welcome members of the California Technology and Innovation Caucus, co-chaired by Assemblymember Patrick Ahrens and Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, whose leadership continues to foster a thriving environment for innovation and progress in our state.
At the Foundation, we believe in giving back to the communities that fuel our growth. Over the years, we have been privileged to support students, teachers, and educators across California through scholarships and donations to organizations such as Code.org, Outschool, DIY Girls, and Wayfinder. This year, we are honored to support DIY Girls, a passionate organization dedicated to empowering young women from underserved communities through technology. DIY Girls provides inspiring mentorship, hands-on projects, and opportunities that help girls develop skills in coding, robotics, and other STEM fields, fostering confidence and expanding their career horizons.
In addition to our ongoing commitments, we are excited to announce the establishment of a new scholarship fund aimed at benefiting students in the districts of our attending legislators. This fund will provide valuable opportunities for students to pursue their passions in technology and innovation, helping to nurture the next generation of leaders and changemakers.
We are grateful for your participation and look forward to the meaningful conversations and collaborations ahead. Together, we can continue to drive technological progress that benefits all Californians.
Thank you for being part of this important event.
