- To begin, check the cable connections between router and modem. Make sure the cables are plugged in firmly and they are not worn out, chewed up or damaged in any way.
- Toggle the switch on your wireless device and turn the wireless adapter on and make sure to enable it.
- Take a peek at your Netgear router power LED and ensure that it is solid green indicating the router is getting proper power supply.
- If the LED light on is red then you need to figure out the reason and find the proper solution.

- Also, check the router’s hardware and make sure that it’s working properly.
- Sometimes incorrect or partial configuration of the router may cause issues.
Therefore, check the router’s default IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and other settings before you run the router login setup from scratch.

- After you restarted the router, check the WAN indicator lights.
