Ardent - in other words it means enthusiastic or being passionate. Teaching is a noble profession and calls for deep knowldege, insight and passion. In this modern world of technology, all information is available at the click of button-literally at your fingertips. But virtual class can never replace the tradutional teacher. Google may disseminate knowledge and information but it cannot understand the student. Only a passionate teacher can do that. First a teacher should have passion for the subject, then for teaching and finally a deep affection for the students.

Ocassionally, it means that people require extra help so that they are provided with the same opportunities and outcomes as others.
