Good notes is an app that is used as a digital binder or notebook. I use it for many things in life such as notes for my classes, a digital planner, a digital wedding planner, and much more. On Good notes you can import PDF files and you can digitally highlight, write on, or make notes on it. You can make multiple notebooks to keep your documents organized. There are many different pen and highlight colors. It can be used as a digital, interactive white board to display for the kids. There are many good reasons to use this tool as a teacher.
Pear deck makes slides interactive so the students can respond to question from their seats. It provides immediate feedback to teachers. Students can also see what the right answer is and learn from their mistakes. This is different from Kahoot because it allows short answer responses.
Prezi is an online tool that is used to make online presentations. It is meant to be visually pleasing and organizational to help students understand, remember, and stay engaged. On this website, you can make presentations, videos, and interactive graphics. I chose this on-line tool because I have had teachers who use it and I think that it could be beneficial to a classroom.
Kahoot is an online tool that allows students to take interactive online quizzes. It challenges the students to compete against each other to get the most right answers. This is a great tool to use when reviewing for a quiz. I have used Kahoot in the classroom before as a student and I know how excited everyone gets to play it and how beneficial it can be in reviewing a topic.
Mural allows the classroom to have a teamwork dynamic. It encourages class participation by allowing the students to create mind maps, collaborate on projects, and connect with each other. It is used as a digital whiteboard that lets everyone with a device add their thoughts. When I found this I thought of how beneficial it could be in a classroom to encourage participation.
Sildo is used as an online collaboration tool. It allows the teacher to create polls and quizzes for the students to answer digitally. It also gives them the opportunity to upvote others. This tool would be a great way to start a discussion in a lesson. I chose this because it was a free site unlike its very similar site, Mentimeter.
