Canva is a graphic design app that can be used to create anything from social media graphics to a cover for a college portfolio.
In todays digital word, visualization plays an important part in media and other online materials. Canva is user friendly, reasonably priced and has loads of options. All options are fully customizable.
The diagram below shows a list of the possible graphic related projects you can create.
The app is web based. You don't need to create yet another login, your existing google accounts will work. The web site is www.canva.com
There are different versions available.
The education version is free with verification of a school affiliation.
It is has the same features as the Pro version. All available options are listed below.
Create a book cover for an English project or any other class where students might create their own stories or poetry.
Create and edit videos for any class. Students love to create multi-media projects. Canva is an excellent source for these projects.
Create business cards and a logo for a mock company in a business class. Students can create all kinds of items for their businesses.
Create a portfolio for a senior capstone project. More and more schools are incorporating a capstone project as a graduation requirement. This is a great way to individualize student work.
Collaborate and work on a group project, the sky is the limit with this option.
