With the outbreak of the global pandemic caused by the Corona Virus, the socio-economic aspect of nearly every individual has dwindled. However, the educational sector has been affected the most. Virtual platforms and online classes through numerous video conference applications have been taking place all across the globe. But this is a rather skeptical and sensitive way to implement the process of knowledge sharing due to a plethora of reasons like poor network connections, ineffective communication due to the lack of the traditional method of teaching, plausible distractions and so on. The moot point is that a majority of the subjects being taught at the school and college level require full concentration from the students and demand for the old-school teaching methodology. CMS College in Kottayam, Kerala has started implementing one of the most effective ways of spreading knowledge by integrating the prolific use of “learning glasses”. It’s a substantial concept which took birth in 2014 but the advantages and uses it portrays are apt for the current scenario. They are simple LED lighted specialized glass which creates a transparent white board that illuminates writing with neon markers. The instructor will be able to face the students while teaching and also offers built-in lighting for the instructor without the expense and trouble of external studio lights while recording videos. The technological developments in our society have been on the rise since ages and they seem to be assets for the mundane life during hardships. Kudos to the team for their staggering attempt. After all, drastic changes in our lives call for innovation and creation which in turn leads to intellectual progress.
