The SHSM is a Ministry-approved program that allows students to focus their learning on the Construction industry, while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma and graduating with a Specialist Red Seal on their Diploma! This career-focused program is designed to help prepare students for the transition from secondary school to apprenticeship training, college, university, or the workplace.

The Construction SHSM at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School will focus on fundamental knowledge and skills specific to the Science Technology Engineering Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) fields. Students will be actively engaged in construction-related exhibitions, community demonstrations, community events, competitions, workshops, training courses, and certifications. Through sector and community partnerships, students will gain industry-standard exposure to the careers and skills of the construction industry.
