Technicolor Aquatics strives to provide healthy fish, and the information and resources that you need to keep them that way.

Misinformation is common in the aquarium business, and it can be difficult to determine where to start when keeping fish. We are here to provide personalized service to you in your fish-keeping journey, regardless of if you choose Technicolor Aquatics as your source for fish! Our Specialty: Bristlenose Plecos

While Technicolor Aquatics keeps and sells several species, our most frequently available fish are bristlenose plecos. A hardy and active freshwater fish, bristlenose plecos are fun to watch and adaptable to most home aquarium conditions.

Maxing out at 5 to 6 inches in length, they can be kept in tanks as small as twenty gallons. They can be kept singly or in groups, and in larger tanks are compatible with most peaceful and many semi-aggressive tankmates.

Bristlenose Plecos go by many names in the aquarium trade, including Bristlenose Catfish and Bushynose Catfish. Like many fish referred to as “plecos,” these fish are not true plecostomus, but are members of the genus Ancistrus.

Within the species, there are several color varieties of bristlenose plecos. Here at Technicolor Aquatics, we keep the following varieties:

Availability

Shipping is available to the continental US as weather permits.

We provide free delivery to residential addresses in and around Reading, PA and Berks County. Delivery to neighboring counties is available at additional cost.

Pick-ups in Lancaster, PA and Allentown, PA are available on a bimonthly basis.

No-cost delivery is available to local PA fish stores. Please contact us for more information.

Shipping

Our shipping materials and procedures are top-notch and our animals are guaranteed to arrive alive, or the cost of livestock will be refunded to the customer.

When you ship from Technicolor Aquatics, you are guaranteed:

- Top-quality tank-bred livestock packed with clean water and oxygen, double-bagged and sealed with rounded-bottom bags.

- Insulated shipping boxes with shipping warmers included at no additional cost when fish are shipped at low temperatures.

- Delivery coordinated individually with every customer, to ensure your fish arrive when you expect.

- All livestock are shipped via USPS Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express; by using the fastest mail services possible, your fish spend as little time in transit as possible.

Shipping may be postponed in the case of extended inclement weather or anticipated postal service delayed.

Payment
