TechLING is an international congress dedicated to the synergies between languages/linguistics and technology, highlighting the impact of technology-based tools on language processing. The event is aimed at teachers, researchers, doctoral students, language educators, translators, interpreters, proofreaders, subtitlers, terminologists, lexicographers, entrepreneurs with an interest in linguistic issues, and other professionals in the field.
TechLING 2024 will feature updated discussions on the latest technological innovations and their applications in linguistics, providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among experts from around the world. This year, the congress will cover emerging topics such as artificial intelligence in machine translation, new technology-supported language teaching methodologies, and the evolution of linguistic analysis tools.

Full Papers: Consisting of 10 to 15 pages (including references).
Short Papers: Comprising 6 to 9 pages (including references).

Please note that you'll need to create an account with CMT in order to submit.
The slides must be in English and the presentation (in person or remotely) can be in English (preferred) or in the author's native language.
In-person presentations are allocated 15 minutes, including Q&A. We suggest that the presentation of your slides takes about 10 minutes, leaving 5 minutes for an introduction by the session chair and questions from the audience.
Please upload your presentation file to the computer in the session room before the session starts.
Distance presentations take place in virtual rooms and have a total duration of 15 minutes, with 10 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers. The author must make the presentation, however, in the event of a connection problem or other situation, we suggest that a video be sent in advance as follows:
Video presentation of the work, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes.
The video should be posted on YouTube and the link sent to techling2024@gmail.com, with the subject "Video - <<article>>".
In addition, the author of the work must be present in the virtual room during the presentation to answer questions.
Access to the virtual rooms will be provided from October 1st.
All accepted papers will be published as a book in a Springer indexed publication, the details of which will be announced later.
The two best papers from each track will be invited to submit an extended version to be evaluated for publication in the International Journal H2D.
