What's the difference between Gr. 9 Integrated Technology (TIJ1O) and Gr. 9 Exploring Computer Technology (TEJ1O)?

Integrated Technology (TIJ1O) combines the different technological studies programs offered at UHS, including graphic design, TV/ video production, technological design, construction & manufacturing.

Exploring Computer Technology (TEJ1O) focuses on the fundamentals in computer technology, including engineering, programming, electronics, robotics, computer hardware and career.

If I took Exploring Computer Technology (TEJ1O) in Grade 9, can I take tech courses other than TEJ2O in Grade 10? 

Yes, Grade 10 Tech courses do not have prerequisites.

If I took Integrated Technology (TIJ1O) in Grade 9, can I take Computer Technology (TEJ2O) in Grade 10? 

Yes, Grade 10 Tech courses do not have prerequisites.

What production apps are used in Communications Technology courses? Do I need to pay for them?

Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Audition and Animate) are taught and used. Students have free access to Adobe CC subscription in the semester when they're enrolled in Communications Technology (TGJ2O/ TGJ3M/ TGJ4M/ TGG4M).

What tech courses qualify for the STEM program?

All courses in the Technological Education department qualify for the STEM program.
