Welcome to the True Taxi app, the officially licensed digital platform in the Republic of Iraq, currently operating in Baghdad and Babil governorates to connect passengers with certified drivers in a safe and organized manner. We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data, and we operate in accordance with the applicable Iraqi laws governing smart transportation services.
1. App Functionality
As an authorized driver on the True Taxi app, you can benefit from a set of features designed to facilitate your professional experience, including:
Secure and quick login using your phone number.
Completing your profile by uploading your basic details, photo, and vehicle information.
Activating GPS to display your current location and instantly receive nearby ride requests.
Receiving ride requests with the option to accept or decline.
Accessing the passenger's location through integrated maps.
Completing trips and calculating fares automatically based on distance and time.
Receiving payments either in cash or through the app's digital wallet.
Monitoring your ride history and analyzing your earnings through the driver dashboard.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Information
The following data is collected during registration to ensure the creation of a verified account:
Full Name: To verify the driver's identity within the system.
Phone Number: The primary method for verification and communication via OTP (One-Time Password).
Governorate: To determine the geographical area for ride distribution.
Date of Birth: To verify the legal working age.
Gender: To enhance the accuracy of the profile.
Vehicle Type: To determine the vehicle's category.
Vehicle Model: To verify the manufacturing year.
Vehicle Color: To facilitate identification of the vehicle.
Vehicle Number: To register the vehicle within the system.
Profile Picture: To display to the passenger after accepting the ride.
⚠️ All of the above data is collected with the driver's consent and is used only for operational and verification purposes within the legal framework.
Location Data
Your location is directly collected while the app is running (whether in the foreground or background) and is used for:
Precisely identifying the driver's location.
Receiving nearby ride requests based on distance.
Calculating the fare and estimating the time of arrival.
Tracking the ride during execution.
⚠️ Your location is not stored after the trip is completed.
Device Information
Operating system type.
Usage information.
Details of accepted or declined requests.
App activity log.
Digital wallet data.
3. Using the Wallet
The digital wallet is used to receive earnings from trips.
Commission is automatically deducted after each successful request.
⚠️ The wallet balance is not withdrawable as cash and can only be used within the app. The company is not responsible for any unauthorized use, and it is recommended not to share login details.
4. App Permissions
The True Taxi app requires certain permissions to function effectively and securely, including:
Location Permission: Used to determine your current location accurately during app usage and in the background for receiving nearby ride requests and calculating distance and fare.
Camera Permission: Only used when uploading your profile picture. The camera is not used in the background for video or audio recording.
Notification Permission: Allows sending notifications to alert the driver of new requests, changes to requests, or important updates within the app.
⚠️ Permissions such as microphone, contacts, or any other permissions not mentioned above are not requested. All permissions are granted with user consent and are only used when needed.
5. Data Protection and Sharing
All data is stored on secure Google Firebase servers.
Data is not sold or transferred to third parties without legal justification.
Your data may be shared only in the following cases:
With the passenger after accepting the request (such as the driver's name, vehicle type, vehicle number, and location).
With government authorities upon a formal request.
With technical support to resolve account-related issues.
⚠️ All data is processed in accordance with the legal provisions in the Republic of Iraq.

7. User Rights

You can delete your account by contacting customer support.

8. Children's Privacy
This app is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from users under this age. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13 without permission, it will be immediately deleted from the system.
9. Updates
This privacy policy may be updated as needed for legal or operational reasons. You will be notified of any significant changes.
