Why this matters
Representing Wales internationally is something the lads are incredibly proud of, but unfortunately the funding previously available to support the team is no longer available, while travel costs, ferries, fuel and accommodation continue to rise year after year. Despite that, the team has already committed to competing in both the European and World Championships this year. This fundraiser is all about helping ensure that the best anglers are still able to pull on the Wales shirt and compete on the world stage, regardless of the financial pressures involved.
Last year Wales finished 9th in the World Championships against 30 nations and we're determined to continue to build on that progress. Draw will be from the banks of the Sorraia River in Coruche, Portugal where the 2026 World Championships will take place! Good Luck!
