Featuring the LEGO City Monorail
Dubai in 2014 formed their own space organization, the UAESA (United Arab Emirates Space Agency.) Since then, the organization's rate of growth has been unparalleled. In fact, on February 9th, 2021, they successfully put their first probe into orbit around Mars! Needless to say, the public of Dubai is currently fixated on space, and LEGO has taken advantage of that.
On February 9th, 2021, the same day the UAESA's first probe entered orbit around Mars, Legoland Dubai announced a new expansion plan. The LEGO City area of the park would be getting a new space-themed attraction, the Legoland Hotel would receive an entire new wing of rooms themed to space, and a new eatery would be constructed that could be accessed from both the park and the hotel. Legoland Dubai had their sights set on space, and popular opinion of the expansion was enormously positive.
