By default this extension does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. It reads the transcript a SharePoint recording page has already loaded, and the live captions a Teams web meeting renders, entirely inside your browser, and formats them as text. The default translation engine (Chrome built-in translation) runs on your device; nothing leaves the browser. Output is written to the clipboard or saved as a file only when you click Copy or Download TXT.
No data is sent to any server. There are no analytics, ads or remotely hosted code. Extension storage holds only your preferences (target language, engine choice).
Only if you choose "Claude with your own API key" in Options and enter your key, the text to translate (meeting captions or transcript lines) is sent to Anthropic's API (api.anthropic.com) using your key. This happens only while translation is switched on. The developer has no access to that text or to your key; the key is stored solely in your browser's extension storage. Switching back to the built-in engine stops all transmission and removes the api.anthropic.com permission. See Anthropic's privacy policy for how Anthropic processes API requests.
