Today, the Team Reed community received the news we have all been hoping and praying for.
Reed is now in recovery following today's surgery.
This is a monumental milestone in a journey that has inspired so many to rally around one extraordinary young man and his family.
Over the past several days, Team Reeders from across the region have come together through prayers, encouragement, and countless acts of support.
Once again, our community has demonstrated what makes Team Reed so special: when one family faces a challenge, none of them face it alone.
Today is about more than a successful surgery. It is a testament to Reed's courage, resilience, and determination.
Through every challenge, he continues to show us what it means to fight with the heart of a warrior.
While this is a victory worth celebrating, we know the journey is far from over.
Surgery was a major step, but recovery begins now.
The road ahead will require strength, patience, and continued support, and we know Reed will face it with the same determination that has carried him this far.
Please keep Reed & Familiy in your thoughts & prayers.
Today we celebrate.
Today we are grateful.
Today we embrace a hard-fought victory.
Tomorrow, the journey continues.
Thank you to everyone who has lifted Reed and the Fry family up through prayers, positive thoughts, encouraging messages, and unwavering support.
Your love has been felt every step of the way.
Together, we move forward.

Reed Update:
On Thursday, August 27, 2026, Reed will undergo another surgery in Florida.
For many, a surgery is a single event on the calendar. For the Fry family, it is another step in a journey that has required extraordinary courage, resilience, and faith for many years.
Throughout that journey, one thing has never changed: the unwavering support of this growing community.
The Team Reed Foundation was built on a simple belief: no family should have to face childhood cancer alone. What began as a way to support one family has grown into a community of people who believe in showing up for others during their most difficult moments.
Tomorrow is one of those moments.
As Reed prepares for surgery, we ask all Team Reeders to do what you always do best: come together.
Whether it's a prayer, a positive thought, an encouraging message, or simply sending good vibes their way, every gesture of support matters.
Over the years, Reed's strength has inspired countless families, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters.
His journey inspired many of us to became involved with the Team Reed Foundation and continues to fuel our mission today.
Through every challenge, Reed has shown us what courage looks like.
Now it's our turn to stand with him.
As a community, we've always celebrated victories together. We've also walked through the difficult days together.
Tomorrow, we ask you to join us once again in surrounding the Fry family with the love, encouragement, and support that has defined Team Reed since the very beginning.
Thank you for keeping Reed and the Fry family in your thoughts, prayers, and hearts as they face tomorrow's surgery.
Because no family should face this fight alone.
Tomorrow, let's remind them they won't.
Reed, we're all standing with you.

TRJ Website Launch, a much needed platform to share our mission and announce our next chapter!
The Team Reed Foundation exists to support families impacted by childhood cancer. Every decision we make is measured against a simple question:
How can we help more families?
Shortly after the largest Team Reed Jamboree to date (TRJ26), we were presented with an opportunity to expand our reach, grow our impact, and help more families than ever before.
Today, the Team Reed Foundation officially signed an agreement to bring the Team Reed Jamboree to Scheels Sports Park in Springfield, Illinois.
This brand-new, $70 million state-of-the-art sports complex is unlike anything else in the Midwest. With the capacity to host significantly more teams, athletes, families, and supporters, this move creates an opportunity to take the Team Reed Jamboree to a level we've never reached before.
Most importantly, the opportunity to help more families.
Had our hometown community of Mackinaw IL not wrapped its arms around the Fry family and embraced this mission from the very beginning, none of this would exist today. What started as neighbors helping neighbors grew into something capable of impacting families far beyond our community's borders.
Every volunteer, sponsor, team, donation, prayer, and act of kindness helped make this moment possible, and for that, we are forever grateful.
🩶 THANK YOU MACKINAW! 🩶
While the Team Reed Jamboree is moving to a new home, this mission still belongs to everyone who helped build it. The Team Reed Foundation will never forget where this journey began, and we hope the wonderful people of Mackinaw continue to be part of this story for years to come. As we enter this next chapter, we invite you to join us as we work to help even more families.
This move isn't about leaving something behind.
It's about reaching farther, dreaming bigger, and creating the opportunity to help as many families as possible.
