I am a blessed member of a family of four. My wife, Kim, is a 5th grade teacher at Lincoln K-8 School. My youngest, Easton, is an 8th grader at Lincoln. Madden is now a 10th grader at Century High School. When I am not working with the best students in town here at Folwell, there is a good chance that I am loving it up at home with my family!

Outside of teaching and spending time with family, I have many interests and hobbies. I love sports. I love watching my boys on their soccer and basketball teams. I love playing volleyball, softball, and managing 1860 rules (bare-handed) base ball for the Roosters of Olmsted County.
I enjoy watching sports as well. I am a fan of the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx, Wild, Loons, and Gophers!
I started my career as a kindergarten teacher at Jefferson Elementary during the 2004/05 school year and earned a master's degree attending night and summer classes. I moved to Folwell the next year and taught 3rd grade for five years. I transferred to 5th grade for the 2010/11 school year and have been loving teaching 5th grade ever since!
For 20 years I spent my summers teaching photography classes at Quarry Hill. I no longer teach there, but have recently joined the Quarry Hill board of directors.
I take on other responsibilities at Folwell in addition to teaching fifth grade. Here are just a few!
