We’re a group of passionate engineering students from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette taking on the challenge of refining, upgrading, and programming our autonomous vessel for the RoboNation Competition. As seniors in Mechanical Engineering, we bring knowledge and hands-on experience to every aspect of the project.
Every member of our team brings a unique mix of creativity, problem-solving skills, and Cajun spirit. From designing new components and wiring systems to coding navigation algorithms and testing controls, we are united by our commitment to excellence and innovation. Together, we’re learning, experimenting, and pushing Team Katrina to the next level.
Throughout our academic careers, we have developed our expertise in mechanical design, control systems, and robotics, which we are applying to craft an autonomous surface vehicle. Our team's collaborative approach ensures that every challenge we face is met with diverse perspectives and creative solutions, driving our vessel's design and performance forward.
As we tackle the complexities of the RoboBoat competition, we are not only working to achieve success but also contributing to the future of autonomous marine technology. With determination, teamwork, and a shared passion for engineering, we are confident that Team Katrina will rise to the occasion and make our mark on the RoboBoat competition in 2026.
