Welcome to 5th grade Math with Mrs. Bersheim on Team Galaxy!

This year in Math, we will be using resources from iReady Classroom. Please check back periodically for links and resources that will aide everyone in their acquisition of 5th grade math skills.

As the year begins, it is very important for all students to work toward fluency with math facts. This will not only help make 5th grade math easier to work with and learn, it is crucial for success in all math skills moving forward. Please take all opportunities that are presented to practice this very important skill!

What's Happening?

Please look for Family letters to come home at the start of each new lesson. These will provide information on the skills we are focusing on in any given week, as well a suggested activity that you can feel free to investigate at home. I will post the family letters below as they are sent home!

iReady Path Lessons

Each week, students are required to complete 2"Path Lessons". These are lessons that are accessed through the iReady icon on the Launch pad. The "Path Lessons" are based on each students individual learning profile. Through the diagnostic benchmark that was taken at the beginning of the year, then again in the middle of the years, lessons are presented based on their readiness to learn the skills. Please be sure 2 lessons are being completed each week! For a guide on how to check path time, please refer to the resource to the right.
