On June 6th 2012, I received my life saving double lung transplant!

I was at end-stage Cystic Fibrosis, and without a transplant, I would not have survived.

Thanks to a very special Angel, Bernadette Nash, who made the decision to sign up to be an organ donor in the event of her passing. I will be forever grateful to her and her family.

Below is a photo of her with her family, as well as a photo of when we all met her family, approximately 1 year after my transplant

These are what normal lungs look like. They should be pink as well, but because they were not hooked up to a blood supply, they are pale.
