My top pick among teamfar cooling racks is the 9-inch Round Cooling Rack Set of 2, winning because its generous diameter offers the perfect balance for standard baking sheets while maintaining a compact footprint. If you need something specifically sized for small toaster ovens or single-serving portions, the rectangular Mini Roasting Rack is the runner-up due to its space-saving design.
• TeamFar Round Cooling Rack — best for everyday baking and cooling cookies; pick this if you need a versatile 9-inch size that fits most standard trays without taking up too much cabinet space.
• TeamFar Round Cooling Rack — best for tight spaces and small appliances; pick this if your oven or air fryer has limited width and you need a 7½-inch rack that won't get stuck.
• TeamFar Round Cooling Rack — best for large families and big batches; pick this if you frequently bake multiple items at once and want a complete set with three different sizes to handle everything from cupcakes to whole loaves.
• TeamFar Round Cooling Rack — best for bulk prepping and party hosting; pick this if you need four identical racks on hand to maximize airflow and capacity during holiday cooking or meal prep sessions.
• TeamFar Cooling Rack — best for heavy-duty roasting and grilling; pick this if you require a sturdy rectangular grid capable of holding a whole chicken or thick steaks without warping under heat.
• TeamFar Cooling Rack — best for solo cooks and dorm living; pick this if you need a compact rectangular option that fits easily into small toaster ovens for quick, individual meals.
The 9-inch round rack stands out as the workhorse of the collection. It features a pure stainless steel construction that promises a non-toxic surface, which is a relief when dealing with hot baked goods. The design includes four raised feet that lift food off the counter, allowing air to circulate freely underneath. This elevated profile is crucial for preventing soggy bottoms on cookies or crusty breads, ensuring that steam escapes rather than getting trapped. The smooth, mirror-finish wires are designed to minimize sticking, making it easy to slide delicate pastries off once they have cooled.
I find this size ideal for the average home baker who uses standard baking sheets. It provides enough surface area to cool a full batch of cookies or a dozen cupcakes without feeling cramped. The dense weld design keeps the structure rigid, so you don't have to worry about the rack bending when you transfer a tray of warm muffins. For those who value longevity, the high resistance to rust means this tool will likely outlast cheaper alternatives that might discolor after a few months of use.
However, there is a trade-off regarding versatility in very large ovens. While it works well for most tasks, the circular shape can leave unused corners in square baking pans if you try to force it into a larger, irregular setup. It is also a set of two, which is great for simultaneous cooling, but if you are trying to cool one massive item like a sheet cake, the round shape might not cover the entire surface as effectively as a flat rectangular grid would.

This 7½-inch variant is the smaller sibling in the lineup, designed specifically for those with limited counter or appliance space. Like its larger counterpart, it is crafted from pure stainless steel with a focus on health and safety, ensuring no toxic chemicals leach into your food. The spacing between the wires is tight enough to prevent small items like macarons or mini-muffins from falling through, yet open enough to allow rapid cooling. The smooth edges make it comfortable to hold, even when the metal is still warm from the oven.
You should choose this rack if your kitchen is equipped with compact appliances. It fits perfectly inside small air fryers, pressure cookers, and toaster ovens where a 9-inch or larger rack simply would not fit. The reduced weight makes it easy to maneuver, and the mirror finish ensures that cleanup is minimal. Whether you are steaming vegetables in a pot or cooling a small batch of brownies, this size handles the task efficiently without dominating your workspace.

The main compromise here is capacity. If you are hosting a gathering or baking for a family, having only a 7½-inch surface might feel restrictive. You may find yourself needing to run multiple batches through the oven just to cool a sufficient quantity of treats. While it is excellent for singles or couples, it lacks the volume required for serious holiday baking projects where maximizing throughput is essential.
The three-piece set combines 7½-inch, 9-inch, and 10½-inch racks into one package, offering a comprehensive solution for every possible baking scenario. This variety allows you to match the rack size exactly to the dish you are using, whether it is a small pie pan or a large casserole dish. The construction remains consistent across all three sizes, featuring thick wires and firm welding that resist breaking. The dense wire layout ensures stability for heavier items, while the spaced design promotes efficient airflow for faster results.
In my opinion, this set is the ultimate choice for anyone who bakes regularly. Having three distinct sizes eliminates the frustration of buying additional tools later. You can use the smallest for delicate desserts, the medium for standard cookies, and the largest for big loaves of bread or pizza bases. The inclusion of multiple units in one purchase also provides flexibility; you can stack them or use them simultaneously to increase your cooling capacity significantly.
The trade-off lies in storage. Three round racks take up more vertical space in a cupboard compared to a single unit. If you have a minimalist kitchen or limited shelf space, managing three separate circular items might be cumbersome. Additionally, while the variety is a strength, it requires you to remember which size fits which pan, adding a tiny bit of mental load to your cooking process compared to just grabbing one universal size.

The four-pack of 7½-inch racks is a unique offering focused entirely on volume and redundancy. Instead of varying sizes, this set gives you four identical units, each built with the same durable stainless steel and smooth finish. The design prioritizes stability and airflow, with four raised feet and a dense weld pattern that prevents food from slipping through. This uniformity makes it incredibly convenient for large-scale cooking events where you need to cool dozens of items quickly.
I recommend this configuration for parties, catering, or anyone who loves to meal prep in bulk. When you are preparing food for a crowd, having four racks available means you never have to wait for one to clear before starting the next batch. You can lay out a massive spread of cookies or cupcakes and cool them all at once. The sturdy construction ensures that even when loaded with heavy trays, the racks remain stable and do not warp.
The limitation is the lack of size diversity. All four racks are the same 7½-inch diameter, which means they are not suitable for larger baking pans or wider dishes. If you attempt to cool a large item that exceeds this footprint, you will need to switch to a different product line. It is a specialized tool for high-volume, small-item production rather than a general-purpose solution for varied baking needs.
This rectangular rack steps away from the circular design to offer a robust, heavy-duty option measuring 11.75 inches by 9 inches. It is constructed with a thick outer frame and multiple cross bars that provide exceptional structural integrity. This reinforcement prevents bending or warping, even when bearing heavy loads like a whole roasted chicken or thick slabs of meat. The 0.6-inch grid spacing allows grease to drip through effectively while keeping solid foods secure, and the elevated feet raise the rack by nearly an inch to ensure proper air circulation.
This is the go-to choice for savory cooking and roasting. The rectangular shape fits standard baking sheets and broiler pans perfectly, making it ideal for grilling, smoking, and baking large cuts of meat. The heavy gauge wires can withstand extreme temperature changes, transitioning smoothly from the cold refrigerator to the scorching heat of the oven without compromising their shape. The smooth, polished finish ensures that food releases easily, simplifying cleanup after messy meals.
While excellent for roasting, the rectangular shape and fixed size mean it cannot be used in round pots or pressure cookers where a circular rack is required. It is also larger than the round options, so it may not fit into compact toaster ovens or small air fryers. If your cooking style leans heavily toward roasts and grilled items, this is superior, but it is less versatile for delicate pastries that might require a smaller, rounder platform.
The mini rectangular rack offers a compact alternative for those with smaller appliances or limited serving needs. Measuring 8.75 inches by 6.25 inches, it is designed to fit snugly into toaster oven pans and small baking trays. Like its larger rectangular cousin, it features a solid construction with thick cross bars and an elevated frame that prevents warping under heat. The grid spacing is optimized to let grease drain away while supporting small food items securely.
This rack is perfect for individuals, couples, or anyone looking to save space. It handles small batches of cookies, individual portions of bacon, or a few shrimp skewers with ease. The compact dimensions make it an economical choice for daily use, especially in dorm rooms or apartments where storage is at a premium. The smooth edges protect your hands, and the dishwasher-safe design ensures that cleaning up after greasy meats or sticky sweets is hassle-free.
The primary drawback is the limited surface area. It simply cannot accommodate larger items or multiple servings at once. If you are trying to cool a full tray of cookies or roast a family-sized portion of vegetables, you will quickly outgrow this rack. It is a niche tool for specific, small-scale tasks rather than a replacement for a larger, more general-purpose rack.
We compared published specifications and features to determine the best fit for various cooking scenarios. The ranking reflects our independent editorial opinion based on material quality, design utility, and versatility. No brand paid for placement or influenced these recommendations.
Yes, the stainless steel construction is designed to withstand both hot and cold extreme temperatures without releasing toxic coatings or harmful substances into your food.
Most models feature a smooth mirror finish and are explicitly labeled as dishwasher safe to save time and labor, though hand-washing is also recommended for easier cleaning of spaced wires.
All designs include four raised feet that elevate the rack to create proper air circulation and provide a stable base, though they rely on friction rather than rubberized grips.
For most regular toaster ovens, the 7½-inch round rack or the 8.75-inch rectangular mini rack are the safest bets to ensure a proper fit without blocking heating elements.
