WELCOME TO TEAM DEFIANCE!

A proposal for a Georgetown-based Navy League Cadet Corps

Our team is proposing to run a no-fee, community sponsored, cadet program based in Georgetown, Ontario, which welcomes youth between the ages of 9 and 12 for fun and naval-themed activities. This proposal aims to establish a new Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC) in Georgetown, Ontario, and to be associated with, and operated by the Navy League of Canada officers, with the help of dedicated volunteers across Halton Hills and surroundings.

As part of the Navy League of Canada, our Georgetown Navy League Cadets will be part of more than 3,000 Navy League Cadets active in over 100 communities across Canada.

THE NAVY LEAGUE

The Navy League Cadet program aims to help young Canadians learn life skills including citizenship, teamwork and self-discipline. Our programming is designed to help cadets become more aware of the world around them, become self-sufficient and confident in their own skills. Throughout their training, Navy League Cadets learn what good leadership looks like, how to work together, and how to overcome challenges. Youth leave the program with a genuine interest in their community’s well-being and equipped with skills to become active citizens.
