We outreached and presented to a class at Murray Hill Middle School. We outreached to many students that were interested in STEM. We presented FTC and our robot to them and let them drive our bot. Thank you so much Murray Hill Middle School for giving us this opportunity!
We outreached and presented our robot to guests at March Madness. We met and connected with over 50 guests who came to our pit. We also strengthened our relationships with local teams. In addition, we helped put on a show by running our robot against others on the field. Members of our team also contributed as game announcers and scorers.
We had the honor of welcoming Maryland State Delegate Dr. Chao Wu! Dr. Wu shared his STEM background and experiences, as well as legislative updates related to STEM policies. We also presented our season progress to him and were inspired to continue promoting STEM throughout Maryland. We are grateful to Dr. Wu for taking the time to visit us. Thank you, Dr. Chao Wu!
We organized a FIRST Robotics Showcase at the Elkridge Branch Library. We invited team Deltabots #35826 and presented our robots; we gave an overview of FTC and showed our new robot that we upgraded in the offseason to 25+ guests. This showcase was open to everyone, allowing anyone interested to learn and see FIRST robotics hands-on.
One of our team members, Vihaan, traveled to India and presented about FTC and FLL (FIRST Lego League) to local schools. Students learned about FTC, FLL, and the programming for these robots. They were also able to see a FLL robot in action. Our outreach covered more than 475 international students! We hope that we have many opportunities like this to spread the spirit of FIRST Robotics globally!
