We visited Andrews Air Base to promote robotics and represent FIRST Chesapeake. During our visit, we connected with over 40 individuals, introducing them to the world of FIRST and inspiring them to get involved. We also provided guidance on how to start a new team. Our audience was entertained with battle bots, STEM toys, crafts, and Lego demonstrations.
We participated in the Maryland STEM Festival 2025 at Elkridge Branch library, hosted by team #27019 Solar Storm. We showcased our robot driving, letting visitors operate the gamepads. We also promoted FIRST by informing guests. Overall, we inspired many people.
We invited #23840 Howard Dynamics to our headquarter to give us a presentation about portfolio and judging sessions. We learned a lot, and this prepared us for our first qualifier. Thank you Howard Dynamics!
We went to a scrimmage hosted by #30329 Mechanical Masterminds at the Howard County Miller Branch Library. We learned from others to improve our robot. We met several teams and played mock games with them seeing how a real game would be played. Some teams we met with were Mechanical Masterminds, Sonic Bots, Dragoneers, and Honey Nut Gearios. We also were able to talk with other teams and expand our outreach.
