Safety

Safety is one of the highest priorities on Team 5607. We, as a team, pride ourselves on creating a safe environment. This includes creating a clean and hazard-free workspace.

When new members join our team, we train them on all of our safety procedures. We introduce them to the various tools, how to use them, and everything they should do to prevent any kind of accident. We also try to keep our pit area clean and stocked with various safety equipment, such as a fire extinguisher, safety glasses, and a first aid kit. 

Throughout the many robotics season, one of our team goals was to improve on safety and minimize accidents. One of the ways of that we accomplished this was by keeping a log of all hazards and accidents that occurred throughout the build season. Over the course of the season, keeping a record of our injuries and accidents helped to decrease them.
