Expectations

• Be an active participant when at meetings/competitions.

• Work together even if you disagree with another’s idea.

• Make good decisions and be respectful of others.

• Be open and honest.

• Maintain good grades. (Grades will be checked occasionally throughout the season. You have to be in good academic standing to attend competitions.)

• Have fun!!

Attendance

• We expect you to attend as many meetings as possible but we understand that you may not be able to attend every meeting.  Please let Angela know about your absence ASAP. (Send an email or text through the Remind app.) 

Lettering

• It is possible to letter in robotics.  To receive a letter you must do the following:  

  • Attend 80% of meetings and competitions

  • Actively participate in robotics when at meetings/competitions

  • Display good sportsmanship that positively exemplifies our schools

  • Attend fundraisers or help out at the FTC competition we host

  • Be committed to the team and the team’s success 

Fee

• The fee to join is $150

  • North Branch Students register and pay through Affinity.

  • Chisago Lakes Students register and pay through CLHS activities department.

• Educational benefits

  • Though breakfast and lunch continue to be provided to students free of charge for the 2023-24 school year, there are other benefits to applying for free/reduced lunch benefits, such as reduced fees for activities. To learn more, look for the form and instructions along the right side of the Food Service website.

Calendar:

• Meeting Dates:  

  • Kick-Off is Saturday, January 4th from 8:30-3:00

  • We meet for 6 weeks every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays

  • Task focused meetings before and after build season.
