She was the LCL Player of the Year and first-team all-district, and she finished with 239 kills, a .555 kill percentage, 68 serving aces, 213 digs and 605 assists. Watkins Memorial went a combined 88-12 with Adelman as a key player.

A 6-foot-2 outside hitter/defensive specialist, Barron had a team-high 323 kills to go with 215 digs, 31 aces and 24 blocks. She was third-team all-state and first-team all-district and all-OCC-Central.

Massey, a two-time Super 12 honoree, was co-OCC-Buckeye Player of the Year and first-team all-district as Central went 21-5 overall and 10-0 in the league. Massey finished second in the Fdration Internationale de Volleyball Beach Volleyball U19 World Championships in September.

This setter turned in another impressive season after being the Super 12 Captain last year. She was first-team all-state, district co-Player of the Year and OCC-Central Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

Standing in the Hawks way is a loaded Shenandoah team, that has lost just two sets all season long in posting a perfect 25-0 record. The last four-set match the Zeps played was back on Oct. 3 in a win at Waterford.

The Leach sisters are a big reason for all that success, not only at the net, but in the back row, as the two play every rotation. Senior Mya Leach comes into Thursday averaging 5.3 kills per set, along 4.1 digs, while sophomore Breanna Leach (3.4 kills, 3.3 digs, 30 aces) have also been a force for teams to be concerned about.

The Cinderella team of the tournament, Waterford, is unranked and has a junior hitter of their own in Avery Wagner (4.1 kills, 80 blocks) and a sophomore setter in Kendyl Johnson running the offense with 792 assists.

It's almost December and Justin's numbers aren't incredibly impressive for a perimeter player for the team's second unit. He's averaging 5.1 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game while shooting an embarrassing 37.1% from the field and 31.7% from the three.

Justin Holiday won't be the team's go-to scorer, but he's capable of being a trustworthy wing if needed. He's shown his capabilities in his past teams like the Indiana Pacers and the Sacramento Kings.

More than a month later, the Hawks are 11-11 and haven't really announced their presence as a playoff threat in the East. This season has been a total journey of finding chemistry with everyone. The team has new guys like the Holiday brothers, Dejounte Murray and Frank Kaminsky.

Vandermeer will have First Team All-NESCAC middle blocker Shekinah Cohn back to build an attack around along with sophomore setter extraordinaire Carmel Lyons, who was named to the NESCAC-All Tournament Team. Cohn led the Ephs in digs with 562 and also posted a team-high 407 kills. She was also second on the team in service aces with 41 and third in blocks with 60

As a sophomore Taylor was tied for second in matches played (122) and was third on the team in service aces with 35. She also added 246 digs, 140 kills, 58 assists and 50 blocks. A healthy Taylor will add a great deal to a solid returning corps of Ephs.

Vandermeer is walking somewhat cold into the Eph situation, as she will field her first team at Williams without benefit of having recruited any of the athletes on the roster. She is, however, anxious to get going as she is familiar with the Ephs as an opponent and has seen how strong they have been in the recent past.

Several Waterford players referred to a second regular season match with Fort Frye the first week of October as a pivotal point in their season. That night, the Wildcats won in five sets and following a loss to Shenandoah the next day, Waterford has reeled off seven straight wins.

Each senior has shown much athleticism, dedication, and pride for their teams, and we are more than proud to see them excel. Good luck to every one of you in your next endeavors. We congratulate you with Eagle pride! Here is an idea where some of our favorite students are headed in the years to come:

So far this season, Robinson says he has noticed the elite talent level and IQ of the players on the team. He says the first game of the season, which they lost by a point, was a game where they were still figuring each other out and now that they have a rhythm, he expects it to remain for the rest of the season.
