This project was started as part of the research internship of Society for Space Education, Research and Development (SSERD). The mentors and coordinators of SSERD was the backbone to the success of this project.
Before any rocket design there is a preliminary design process which takes up a lot of time. We solve this problem by creating a simple and compact tool which provides all the necessary design sizing and performance parameters required for the mission with the help of basic equations.
STARS also has the option to select 12 different propellant combinations and different mission criteria such as Nozzle shape, Material, Feed system and the Altitude.
STARS reduces the time involved in prelim design process of Liquid rocket engine to a matter of few seconds and it is also very simple in the sense that anyone can use it with ease.
