As you watch the presentation, you will realize that TBL is not just a teaching technique—it’s a well-planned instructional strategy. It takes a group of students and transforms them into a effective learning team. They are not just learning content; but they are actively learning from each other.

These three videos illustrate an example of what one module could look like in a classroom setting. They showcase a multi-day instructional sequence:
Day 1
Creating Diverse Teams and Assigning the Pre-Read: Introduces the module by forming student teams and assigning preparatory materials.
Day 2
Individual and Team Readiness Assurance Test: Demonstrates how students are assessed on their understanding of the pre-read material, both individually and in teams.
Day 3
Application Activity: Highlights a collaborative classroom activity where teams apply their knowledge to solve problems or engage in discussion
This video shows how to design TBL team application activities—real-world, decision-based tasks that build critical thinking, structured discussion, and collaboration through simultaneous reporting and class-wide debriefs.
