About Us
Team 3451 is Sanford regional technical center's Engineering Application with Robotics program. SRTC is made of 8 different schools, they would be: Kennebunk, Marshwood, Massabesic, Noble, Sanford, Wells, York high schools and Traip Academy. Engineering Application with Robotics blends theoretical academic content with hands-on applications to maximize student learning. We have competed in many FRC events since 2011. Most years we compete in a minimum of two district events and at least one off season event. During the “Recycle Rush” season we won the Xerox Creativity Award. We are sponsored by numerous southern Maine corporations and greatly appreciate their support. Each year students are selected to participate in the Skills USA RoboRescue contest in Bangor, building a robot to navigate a blind obstacle course to simulate an ordinance disposal situation.
