About us

We are students of Cao Bang High School for the Gifted.

We come from Cao Bang, Viet Nam. Cao Bang, a land of breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage, faces challenges in both economic and educational development. As the province with the second-highest multidimensional poverty rate in Vietnam, Cao Bang not only lacks infrastructure but also has limited access to modern technology, particularly in STEM and Robotics education.

Our story

Born and raised in this land, we, the members of the VEX Robotics team 36070M, deeply understand these difficulties. Founded in 2023 with support from the American Center Hanoi, we embarked on our journey with VEX V5 robotics, not only to elevate our own skills and the province’s reputation but also to bring STEM education to students in Cao Bang, especially those in remote areas.

Following our success at VEX Worlds 2023-2024, we presented the project “Empowering Cao Bang Through Robotics” to provincial leaders, emphasizing the importance of expanding technology access for students and teachers. The support from the Provincial People’s Committee and educational agencies marked a turning point, motivating us to implement STEM education activities.

Our journey

We chose VEX Robotics not only because it is a world-leading organization in STEM and Robotics but also for its comprehensive educational ecosystem. With product lines tailored to different age groups and developmental stages, from VEX 123, VEX GO, to VEX IQ, and VEX V5, VEX provides a solid foundation for STEM education.

In the 2023-2024 season, we success at the VEX Robotics World Championship, where we proudly represented Vietnam and achieved high honors, serves as the most compelling testament to the value of this system. This achievement has gained attention and support from provincial leaders, including the Chairman and Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Province and the Director of the Cao Bang Department of Education and Training.
