Transportation
Getting to USC Campus
Public Transportation:
Metro E Line (Expo): The Metro E Line provides a direct connection between downtown and USC. Trains depart every 15 minutes from the 7th Street / Metro Center Station and arrive at the Expo Park / USC Station in approximately 10 minutes. A one-way fare is $2.
Bus Services: Several bus routes serve the USC area. For instance, LA DOT operates a bus from Flower St & 7th St to Figueroa St & USC McCarthy Way every 20 minutes, with a journey time of about 16 minutes. Metro Los Angeles also services this route every 30 minutes.
Driving (or Uber/Lyft): If you prefer to drive or take an Uber/Lyft, USC is located approximately 3 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. The drive typically takes around 6 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
From LAX to USC: USC is about a 30-40 minute drive from LAX, depending on traffic. If public transportation is needed, taking the FlyAway Bus can be helpful:
FlyAway Bus to Union Station:
Arrives at Patsaouras Transit Plaza behind Union Station.
USC Shuttle from Union Station:
Departures from Bay 6 at the transit plaza.
Direct, non-stop shuttles to USC Main Campus (UPC) are free for USC passengers.
Some shuttles first stop at the Health Sciences Campus (HSC)—to save time, ensure you board a direct shuttle to UPC.
