We successfully hosted a four-day hands-on workshop at our laboratory, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines united by a shared passion for scientific discovery. Despite receiving numerous applications, we were only able to accept 27 participants from various geopolitical regions. 

The workshop commenced on August 5th, with participants receiving training on the use of Drosophila melanogaster in biological research, including practical sessions. The following day focused on molecular biology techniques, covering topics such as primer design, DNA extraction, RNA isolation, Polymerase Chain Reaction, Gel electrophoresis, and result analysis. On the third day, participants received comprehensive training on Computer-aided Drug Design software, including installation and practical application. A project was undertaken, allowing participants to apply their newfound skills. 

The workshop was concluded on the 9th of  August with a recap of everything done and the departure of participants. We have compiled a video featuring feedback from attendees, which can be viewed below.
