About Us

Teach Out Loud was founded in 2022 by three Acadiana educators, Morgan Mercado, Taylor Wallace (@DoubleDutyTeachers), and Andre Deshotel, who saw a need in the education field. Teach Out Loud is holding their fourth annual conference for teachers, by teachers to grow a network of educators to connect, inspire, and learn.

With the support of the Pugh Family Foundation and hosted by the UL College of Education and Human Development, your $30 registration fee will give you access to professional development sessions, lunch, a t-shirt, giveaways, and more! Professional development sessions include: strategies to engage your students using the curriculum you already have, classroom and school culture, diversity in the classroom, and more.

No childcare? No problem! You have the option to send your 1st-5th grade child to a STEM camp on campus to have fun and learn while YOU have fun and learn! You don’t want to miss this!
