All about me

My name is Yari, I am an incoming senior at Illinois State University. I am pursuing my degree in Middle-Level Education. I plan to be a middle school math and ESL teacher. I am a 2022 Golden Apple Scholar Recipient. I have a lot of experience with teaching in classrooms and teaching students through one-on-one support. I choose to begin my tutor journey back in 2021. It all started with helping a family member with reading, I decided to put myself out there and help other students. I knew I was passionate about teaching. I wanted to have as much experience as possible to help myself as a future educator as well as help young learners to succeed in their educational careers.
