Originally from Southern California, I moved between various coastal suburbs before my family settled in Torrance, CA for the majority of my adolescence. I grew up doing things like going to the beach, hiking with my Mom, making mud creations in the backyard, and hunting for bugs with my friends in kindergarten. These experiences set the foundation for my passion for the environment as somewhere that I could express myself freely. In 2025, I was a fourth year undergraduate at the University of Oregon with a major in environmental studies. Passionate about the opportunity to gain experience in environmental education and promote stewardship in young learners, I enjoyed helping students make scientific observations and watching them get curious out in nature throughout the Environmental Leadership Program. I am a detail-oriented, creative, and organized person; I love to draw, photograph, and simply admire the world around me--from tiny flowers to expansive landscapes. My time as a part of Wild Wanderers allowed me to build crucial skills in project management, team building, public speaking, and learning facilitation. My dream career would be something that combines my passion for both art and the environment, as well as getting to work with a close-knit team of people.
This teaching portfolio encapsulates my experience working in the Environmental Leadership Program's 2025 Wild Wanderers team, at the University of Oregon. It includes reflective commentaries of my teaching experiences and evaluations, personal teaching philosophies, and descriptions of my experiences and accomplishments throughout this program.
