While Hansel and Gretel were out in the forest with their father, they smelled something incredibly sweet. They decided to follow their noses and found a house made of candy. They ran to the house and began to eat the candy. A little old lady came out of the house and invited them inside. Once inside, the little old lady locked the door behind them. The children realized that the little old lady was a witch! The witch locked Hansel in a cage and forced Gretel to work around the house. Gretel knew that in order to escape, she had to be able to unlock the lock on Hansel's cage, as well as all of the locks on the door. These locks were nothing like she had ever seen before. They required letters, numbers, and directions!

One day, Gretel was cleaning the witch's library and realized the witch had a lot of folktales. After exploring a bit more, Gretel realized that these folktales had to be able to help her unlock all of the locks.
