About Teacher Deb

Greetings! My name is Debbie Webster, and I am your ECFE Parent Educator. I am also a mom and wife. I love my "zany" family! (This photo is from our eldest son's summer of 2017 wedding!)

I have been in education for 28 years. I spent 15 years as an elementary school teacher, teaching grades 1 - 5. I also spent 6 years as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas, where I supervised elementary education student teaching candidates. It was twelve years ago that I decided to go back to the U of M for a two year program which allowed me to add “Parent Education” to my licensure.

I truly believe that “you are your child’s first and most important teacher!” I see my role as one of support, education, and facilitation. I want my parents to receive high quality information which reflects “best practices” in parenting. Along the journey, I will facilitate discussions and be “present and available” to personally support you! My credo is that if I can help raise up a parent....I help raise up an entire family.

I am so pleased to be working with you this year. If you ever have questions, concerns, or need to report an absence, I invite you to email me at Debra.Webster@rpsmn.org

Enjoy your child today!

Deb
