Teach ATX aims to help the youth of Austin through supplemental educational experiences to foster a passion for learning in the minds of all.
We founded Teach ATX Inc. with one goal in mind: to close the disparity in supplemental education among low and high income kids. As young adults who were afforded the privilege of being able to enter expensive learning classes to bolster our passions, we realized that many of our peers and fellow Austinites were barred from the same opportunities due to the high price of said programs. This inspired us to create Teach ATX.
TATX is divided into 3 sections: TeachScience, Supplemental Education, and Community Initiative. The TeachScience sector focuses on helping individuals break down scientific concepts in fun and easy ways, as well as offering free resources to spark interest in the field. This is done through a scientific newsletter in conjunction with Cedar Park Public Library, a lung health blog with over 1,300 followers, and an international COVID-19 project that is soon to be released.
Supplemental Education offers exactly what the name entails: additional learning tools for anyone to access. TATX provides a multitude of completely free programs for young adults to help aid their learning experiences, with the current roster including SAT tutoring, Entrepreneurship Workshops, Cello + Violin tutoring, and World Language tutoring. Additionally, we have also produced a STEM podcast streaming on all platforms with over 200 listeners. In our efforts to everything we do completely free, we have been able to offer our services to more than 100 people in the greater Austin area.
In addition to this, TATX also is heavily involved in community service, which is highlighted in the Community Service sector. We have had the privilege to collaborate with various businesses and organizations, such as RRISD, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, and others to help be a beacon of good in our community. The Community Service sector has been able to positively benefit more than 600 people through multiple projects and partnerships. Flip through our website to learn more about us!
