Welcome! My name is Tim Donohue, and I’m excited to share my passion for instructional design and education with you. I’m a proud father of three school-age children, a motorcycle enthusiast, and a military veteran who has transitioned my commitment to service into the field of education. With over a decade of experience as a public school educator and three years as an Educational Technology Facilitator, I’ve honed my skills in creating meaningful learning experiences for diverse audiences.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology from the American College of Education. Currently, I serve as an Instructional Designer/Developer for AdventHealth Corporate, where I’ve been crafting impactful learning solutions for the past five months. My passion lies in merging creativity with strategy to design effective, learner-centered training that drives growth and engagement.
Whether I’m refining a course module, facilitating a technology integration workshop, or tackling a new design challenge, I bring energy, dedication, and a relentless focus on excellence. Let’s connect and explore how I can help your team thrive!
Media and information literacy is more critical now than ever. In today’s digital age, misinformation spreads rapidly, and even fact-checking tools can sometimes be misused to mislead rather than clarify. Media literacy can become "weaponized" when individuals manipulate fact-checking to reinforce biases or selectively discredit legitimate sources. This highlights the need for a balanced and critical approach to consuming and sharing information (Berkman, 2021).
As an instructional designer, I am deeply committed to fostering these skills in the learning experiences I create. Whether through digital courses, workshops, or resource development, I emphasize empowering learners to navigate the complexities of online media with confidence and discernment. By promoting ethical information use and critical thinking, I aim to equip individuals with the tools they need to succeed in an information-saturated world.
