American Sign Language (ASL) is a complete language that has the same linguistic properties as spoken languages. It is the primary language of many Deaf North Americans and is one of several communication options used by people who are Deaf or hard-of-hearing.
ASL has its own grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances that make it a unique and beautiful language. Learning ASL opens doors to a vibrant community.Â
At TCU, we are aiming to provide an opportunity for students to bridge communication gaps, foster an inclusive community, and practice their ASL!
Everyone! Whether you're completely new to ASL or already fluent, you're welcome here.
