Helping New Researchers
Â
TCRTS Mentoring Program
The TCRTS mentoring program aims at helping young researchers and groups with the shaping of research topic areas, new paper outlines and paper resubmissions among other topics. More specifically, under this initiative you may have an opinion on (a) a research topic you are interested in, (b) ideas for a paper or project based either on already obtained preliminary results or on research hypothesis, or (c) a paper that has been submitted and was rejected.
The TCRTS mentoring program is designed to be fully online to be able to make it available to groups that need extra help developing their research and publishing in top TCRTS conferences.
Mechanics
The TCRTS mentoring program is supported by a group of researchers that regularly published in the top conference of the TCRTS conferences that we refer to as mentors. The mentors will receive mentoring request submissions from mentees from academic institutions around the world. The interaction will be mediated through this site with the help of forms as follows.
The mentee register an email in the "User Registration" tab. The system will generate a password and send it to the email that will be used to submit request.
The mentee submits a mentoring request form with information about one of the areas listed below, using the registered email and the password sent to this email.
The coordinator verifies that the email belongs to an academic institution, identifies the best mentor for the request based on the topic alignment and workload and ask the mentor to process the request.
The mentor will respond to the request to address the request concerns. This response is designed to guide the mentee in general directions, related work, and highlighting potential pitfalls in the selected topic. This program is not designed to get a heavier assistance but it would be up the mentor whether or not to get in a deeper involvement.
The mentors will be kept anonymous.
