When/Where are meetings?
HOSA meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays each month after school in the Media Center unless otherwise noted! Our officers will send out an announcement via the club Remind (@tchosa2425) if a meeting has to be cancelled or rescheduled.
How do I choose an event?
At the beginning of each school year, your HOSA officers will inform you of the date that you would need to select a category by. All event categories can be found on the 'Competition Categories' tab. A date for event registration will be announced within the first few meetings of the school year. We recommend that you begin looking at events that may interest you and reach out to our officers with any questions you may have!
What are the fees to join HOSA?
We want to be completely honest with you by saying HOSA can be expensive. The fee for returning HOSA is $55 which includes National affiliation, Regional Competition Registration, and TCHS HOSA affiliation fees. The few for new members is $65 as they also have to pay for a club shirt.
If you make it to States, you are asked to pay an estimated amount $250-$300 which will include hotel room cost and State Competition Registration.
If you make it to Internationals, you will have to provide your own transportation, hotel room cost, and the International Competition Registration fee.
*Fundraising opportunities are provided throughout the year to help alleviate your personal cost but you must be an active participant in fundraising.
What if I can't come to a meeting?
No worries! Make sure to reach out to one of our officers at least 2 full school days in advance with a valid reason. Be sure to check out the 'Meeting Slides' tab to stay up to date!
