About: Tchapo is an applied Economist with an extensive experience in research, data-driven solutions and policies in the field of Economic Development. His research is primarily filled with questions on international economics. He also works in the field of economic development (digital development, financial inclusion, etc). He mostly relies on advanced econometrics and spatial data to address policy-relevant questions.
Tchapo has strong hands-on experience built through his work with development agencies and research think tanks such as the Ministry of Digital Economy and Digital Transformation-Togo, GATE St-Etienne laboratory, The United Nations, the World Bank Group, the Center of the Analysis of Trade and Economic Transition (CATT - Univ of Pau), the European Union Institution Program (PAI 2) for Statistics, the Statistical Institute of Togo (INSEED) and the West African Central Bank (BCEAO).
