I, Telma C. F. Fonseca, am currently serving as an adjunct professor at the Postgraduate Program in Nuclear Science and Techniques at UFMG in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Additionally, I am a member of WinBrasil - Women in Nuclear association. Additionally, I am a member of WinBrasil - Women in Nuclear association. WinBrasil is affiliated with WiN Global, a nonprofit organization of women who work professionally in various fields of nuclear energy and applications of ionizing radiation, such as medicine and health, regulatory authorities, industry, or as independent researchers.

From 2014 to 2017, I spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher at Centro de Desenvolvimento da Tecnologia Nuclear (CDTN/CNEN) in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil.

I earned my Ph.D. in January 2014 from the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Department of Oncology, Radiotherapy, at K.U.Leuven - Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. During my Ph.D., I worked as a researcher in the laboratory of Anthropogammametry (AGM), specifically focusing on Radiation Protection Dosimetry and Calibrations within the RDC (RDC) Studiecentrum voor Kernenergie - Centre d'Etude de l'Energie Nucleaire - SCK-CEN.

I have a longstanding interest in internal dosimetry, dose calculation in radiotherapy, and nanodosimetry, with a particular focus on computational models, Monte Carlo codes, and mathematical calculations.
