The Compassionate Friends of Waterloo Chapter gratefully acknowledges the financial support of The Olivereaders and Quintessential Relaxation.  Additionally, many donations made through connections to friends and family of some of our bereaved parents are gratefully acknowledged. 

Monthly Sharing Space

The Compassionate Friends of Waterloo Region is grateful for the continued support of the wonderful staff at Westmount Celebration Centre in Kitchener. Since our inception in 2019, Westmount has graciously provided us with the space to host our Monthly Sharing Circles. This is always done with compassion and care. Our needs are met each month through their support with organizing the space, setting up coffee and tea, and managing our resources. Thank you Westmount for the kind consideration you continue to show for our group.

Yearly Candle Lighting Service

Each year around the world, on the second Sunday in December, chapters of The Compassionate Friends hold a Candle Lighting Service to honour all of our children who have died too soon. Since 2022, Wasler Funeral Home in Kitchener has provided us with the space to host our Candle Lighting Service.  The gracious and caring staff provide us with organizational and technical expertise as we bring a thoughtful evening together for bereaved parents in our group. Their care and compassion show as they host this event with provision of space, online services and refreshments. The Compassionate Friends of Waterloo Region is grateful for the yearly support for our families each December.
