After falling in love with the Chinese internal martial art of T'ai Chi Ch'uan and many years of practice Sifu Francisco E. Alvarez wanted to bring all the internal arts schools of T'ai Chi Ch'uan (Taijiquan), Chi Kung (Qigong), and Neidan together in a one day event to build a strong Chinese internal arts community and expose the greater community to these arts.

In 2015 Sifu Francisco E. Alvarez asked Sifu David Ortiz and Sifu Dan Vazquez to met with him to discuss the possibility of creating a free festival that would bring together the Chinese internal arts community and the greater community at large. After agreeing to move forward with the project, local Sifus were contacted and the first board for the event was formed.
