The William D. Law, Jr. Learning Commons is located in building LC 30 on Tallahassee Community College main campus.

We are following CDC guidelines and Leon County ordinances including the use of masks and social (physical) distancing. The Learning Commons highly encourages the use of virtual/online tutoring and success coaching. However, you are welcome to visit us on-campus.
The staff in the Math/Science Area can provide students with:
Math, Science, Economics, Accounting, and Technology assistance (peer and professional) content tutoring.
Practice worksheets, interactive online activities, and workshops.
Anatomy & Chemistry models (for use in the building).

Reading & Active Listening
For any course or class, there will be assignments where reading comprehension and active listening skills are needed. The services are to assist students in better understanding academic text or multi-medium by helping students:
Identify main ideas or details;
Synthesize / integrate main ideas or details;
Paraphrase main ideas or details,
Tackle difficult vocabulary
Learn various strategies to read or listen more fluently.
