Hello From Ms. Clairmont!!

It is officially the start of the 2020-2021 School Year! I would like to first and foremost welcome you to 7th grade!!! I am so very excited to get this year started. It is definitely a different way to begin the year, however, we will all work together to make sure that we all learn together. We all look forward to meeting you really soon, even through the virtural world, we are still able to see your shining bright faces through technology. Please be patient with the beginning of our year, we are still getting the handle on things, and we also want to make sure that everyone is comfortable.

Our focus this semester will be in the two areas of Language Arts and Mathematics. We will remain with homeroom classes and recieve lessons and zoom with that teacher and an assigned learning coach. It will be different, but we will make sure everyone gets the hang of it. For now, everyone recieved Backpacks from the school, if you haven't, it will be coming to you shortly. In those packs, we will begin in the book titled "Kids Learn! Getting Ready for 7th Grade". Our focus for you is to get some practice in before we meet you next week in the Virtual world. Please begin in the "Week 1" activities located on pages 14-24. The school is currently trying to get out the technology devices needed. As we move further, we will begin doing our lessons in Zoom and will be using the Learning Management System called Schoology. This is going to be an awesome way to communicate, navigate, recieve assignments, submit assignments, and so much more. We look forward to this unique opportunity.
