14 Nov, 05:00 EST (10:00 UTC): After 18 days of waiting, the final projections are in and President-elect Joe Biden will take Georgia with 16 electoral votes, incumbent President Donald Trump will take North Carolina with 15 votes. And our final say is that Biden is projected to take 306 electoral votes over 232 votes for Trump. That's all for our projection updates for the 2020 US presidential election. 12 Nov, 23:20 EST (13 Nov, 04:20 UTC): Welcome back. President Donald Trump has been projected to take the state of Alaska with 3 electoral votes. Once again, we'll return for more updates.

9 Nov, 22:45 EST (10 Nov, 03:45 UTC): As it stands, President-elect Joe Biden has 290 electoral votes, while incumbent president Donald Trump has 214 votes. Only the states of Alaska, Georgia (on a recount) and North Carolina are counting votes. Thank you for tuning in to our live projection updates. We'll return for further developments.

7 Nov, 22:30 EST (8 Nov, 03:30 UTC): Welcome back to our live projection updates on the 2020 US presidential election. Joe Biden has been projected by Outfit7 News and other media outlets to win the election and be the next President of the United States. Biden is now projected to take Nevada with 6 electoral votes, bringing his total electoral votes to 290.

7 Nov, 11:30 EST (16:30 UTC): Biden is projected to take Pennsylvania with 20 electoral votes.

Outfit7 News projects that Joe Biden will be the 46th President of the United States based from data by NEP/Edison (via Reuters) and the Associated Press. At 77 years old, he is the oldest person to be elected as US president, and by his inauguration on 20 January 2021, Biden will be the oldest president to take office at 78 years old, pending the outcome of any legal challenges.

5 Nov, 22:05 EST (6 Nov, 03:05 UTC): Some news sources, including the Associated Press which we receive data from, have already projected that Joe Biden would take Arizona with 11 electoral votes. Outfit7 News has listed AP's projection for Arizona, but we are waiting for confirmation from our other source, Reuters, which relies on the NEP and Edison Research for data, about this as they say it is still too close to call. Please stay tuned for more projection updates.

4 Nov, 20:00 EST (5 Nov, 01:00 UTC): Welcome back to our live projection updates on the 2020 US presidential election. Democratic candidate Joe Biden is projected to take the states of Michigan with 16 electoral votes and Wisconsin with 10 votes. Biden is to take 26 more votes for a total of 264 electoral votes. Incumbent Republican president Donald Trump is projected to take Maine's 2nd Congressional District with one electoral vote, for a total of 214 electoral votes.

4 Nov, 05:20 EST, 10:20 UTC: Only 7 states have yet to be projected as of press time. These are Alaska, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The 2nd congressional district of Maine has yet to be projected as well. 87 electoral votes overall have yet to be counted.
